Prof Parveen KumarPROF PARVEEN KUMAR

Talk on ‘Lean in’ How and why support your female colleagues

Professor Dame Parveen Kumar is Professor of Medicine and Education at Barts and the London School of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London, and a Consultant in Gastroenterology and General physician. She qualified at St Bartholomew’s Medical College London and trained in clinical gastroenterology under Sir Anthony Dawson and Dr Michael Clark. Her research interests are mainly in small bowel disorders (particularly coeliac disease).

Dr Guruswamy undertook her Post Graduate training in Psychiatry at University College Dublin and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin. She became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2008.
